Meet the Team

Our people are what makes Zinnia what it is. We are a close-knit team that brings together an array of experiences, networks and skills from a range of different industries and sectors.

Andrew Crawford

Director

Andrew has 15 years’ experience in the executive search industry, working predominantly for boutique organisations, with an emphasis on working in a consultative, hands on way with his clients.

His focus is building leadership capability across digital and broader technology led businesses or in a digital transformation context. His clients range from VC backed market entrants and disruptors to established private and public entities.

Andrew co-founded a previous search business in 2015 which was subsequently acquired, following which he led the combined digital practice globally.

Andrew is passionate about innovation in the industry. One of his key motivations for establishing Zinnia is to create a firm which works collaboratively with clients so ensure they have transparency around approach and methodology.

Ian Millard

Director

Ian’s career combines experience working for leading executive search organisations, with talent leadership roles in some of the world’s best known consumer technology brands.

His 10 years in search was spent with a primary focus on digital, technology and professional services, benefitting from experience within both boutique and global organisations.

Ian has spent the last 18 months helping a US headquartered technology organisation to scale by launching multiple new countries across EMEA and creating the people team infrastructure.

Prior to this Ian worked for eBay for 5 years where he initially ran all executive hiring across EMEA and APAC before broadening to lead hiring globally for eBay’s classifieds organisations and for eBay’s marketplace business in EMEA.

Why Zinnia?

The Zinnia flower is a symbol of endurance and growth and it can be seen in a range of vibrant colours.  This is representative of our commitment to hire the brightest and most diverse leaders.

Zinnia also symbolises lasting friendship, goodness and remembrance. Our choice of name is less a reflection of what we do, but why we are doing it. An acknowledgement of those who aren’t able to join us on the journey.
